So that it is not said that we do not know what to do with that bread that was dry for us, those forgotten cookies in the back of the closet or those cupcakes that were left over from yesterday’s snack, today I bring you again a recipe for use. A perfect cookie pudding for dessert for children and adults.
The pudding is a great dessert and very easy to prepare that, after baking, will have a texture similar to that of a flan with a point of more consistency thanks to the addition of cookies, bread or another type of bakery or pastry product. It is one of those super versatile recipes, from which we can prepare almost anything we have at home.
On the blog you will find a lot of proposals to enjoy this dessert. From an apple pudding , an original strawberry and banana pudding , the most successful among children, chocolate pudding or the classic bread and walnut pudding , they are wonderful options, not only for use, but also to create sweets different accompanied with fruits and nuts.
Preparing the caramel for the cookie pudding
- We put a saucepan on the fire and add the tablespoons of sugar. This whole process should be over medium heat so that it is not done too quickly.
- Add the water and stir the syrup in circles with a wooden spoon, it usually does not take more than 5-6 minutes. When it starts to caramelize, it will take on a typical honey color. Color is very important because it is too dark. It means that the flavor will no longer be caramel but bitter.
- We pass it to a container where we go to prepare the cookie pudding.
- Very carefully, because the freshly made caramel reaches very very high temperatures and you can burn it. We bathe the pudding mold on the sides so that the entire caramelized mold remains.
- Let it cool down and start making the cream from the cookie pudding.
Final presentation of the cookie pudding
- We put 100 ml in a glass. of milk and add the content of the envelope of Flanín and the sugar. Mix well until diluted and reserve.
- In a saucepan, heat the rest of the milk with the cream. When it is hot add the chopped cookies and leave the mixture until it begins to boil.
- At this point we add the milk with sugar and Flanín (or an envelope prepared for flan) that we have reserved. We begin to stir with a rod for about 3 minutes over medium heat. We remove from the fire.
- We crush the cookies with a mixer until we have a smooth cream.
- Pour into the mold that we have prepared with the caramel. We let the pudding cool down to room temperature before storing it in the fridge for a few hours to set.
At the time of serving, we remove it from a platter and serve it alone or accompanied by whipped cream. With very little work we will have a homemade and sweet dessert to lick your fingers.
I encourage you to try doing it at home. You can see all the step by step photos of this cookie pudding in this album.
