- Add the rice to the casserole. We let it start to sauté with the rest of the ingredients, stirring constantly.
- When we see that some grain of rice begins to roast, salt and add the water. Remember that there are 2 cups of water for every cup of rice.
- In some recipes (not the original ones, since logically the dark or black soda did not exist), add 1 and a half cups of water and a half of Coca Cola or dark soda. I have tried it and I did not like it, it gives a very sweet touch to caramel, which is not necessary. But at home, prepare it to your liking. As I said, it is optional.
- Let the rice cook over medium heat until the water evaporates. Follow the cooking advice of the rice maker.
