But today we are going to talk about a sauce that we prepare at home that always succeeds when accompanied by meat , fish or vegetable dumplings .

A yummy sauce made with vegetables, with an orange color that provides the carrot and with a sweet touch, which makes it delicious. Preparation of the sauce for the meatballs

  1. Peel the onions, the garlic cloves, wash the carrots, the celery and the leek. Then we just have to finely chop the vegetables.
  2. It does not have to be perfect because then we are going to crush them, but it is convenient to have small pieces.
  3. Heat a jet of extra virgin olive oil in a saucepan and cook the vegetables over low heat, so that they are done slowly without browning. It is important that they are poached little by little and without browning excessively. This way they will be soft, perfect to then crush.
  4. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. When the vegetables are poached, add the flour and stir, while continuing to cook for a couple of minutes.
  6. Add the wine, raise the heat a little and let the alcohol evaporate.
  7. Finally we add the broth and cook the whole for about 10-15 minutes.
  8. We crush the sauce and return it to the casserole. We taste the point of salt and adjust to taste.
