Summer has arrived and the party started. Flip flops, air conditioning and fan. Espetos, paellas in beach bars and fried fish. We will cry later! But the truth is that between vacations and daytime canes, you also want to eat a little healthy, even if it is to help digest everything else, right?

What to eat in July?
In July they are at their best all summer fruits, delicious and essential to maintain good hydration when pressing the heat, especially watermelon and melon due to its high water content.
Fill yourself with watermelon and melon . You have probably been doing it since June, but it is now when the melons “will come out good”. Make smoothies, eat fruit breakfast, if in the end … it’s all water ! It is very important that in summer you stay hydrated and we already know that only beer is not worth it.
If you have a good mixer you can make smoothies or smoothies combining different fruits and adding some juice, milk or ice, they are delicious and perfect for snacks! If you also put colored straws and other decorations, the children will be delighted.
As for the vegetables, tomatoes, peppers and cucumber they are at their best to make you a good gazpacho or salmorejo . Also, don’t miss the delicious padrón peppers to accompany any meal, a summer classic.
In fish we have in season the tasty scorpionfish, with which you can make a cold scorpionfish pie for hot summer dinners or that you can take to a picnic or even to the pool.
July is not a month with erre, therefore the seafood will not be at its best except for prawns, shrimp, squid and spider crab. However, the anchovy is great this month, the bonito, the horse mackerel, the grouper, the sardine, the dogfish and the perch.
The tuna and tuna are still in season, try making a grilled belly or a salad with tuna , it takes just a few minutes and is a healthy way to eat blue fish.
The best vegetables this month are zucchini , beets (perfect for making a cold Russian soup) , carrots, brevas and radishes.
