BARLEY, A SUPERFOOD
Barley, the main and natural ingredient in beer, is considered a superfood. This is why beer contains more than 30 minerals and phenolic compounds that give it antioxidant effects.
Barley helps to level blood sugar levels and detoxify the body, because it acts as food for the good bacteria in the large intestine, thus facilitating intestinal transit, helping digestion.
With all the minerals that this superfood contains, it helps oxygenation of cells, reduces fatigue and depression. As if that weren’t enough, an article published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition states that barley has multiple positive effects on lowering cholesterol levels.
Barley has antioxidant effects that help slow down the aging process, decrease fluid retention and promote digestion.
